Required Software :
If for any reason you still get any Runtime Error, you can try installing this.
Eclipse Library Installer Slim(.exe)
Eclipse Library Installer Slim(.zip)

Installing & Setup
1. Create your working folder with your project name.
2. Extract your downloaded files into the folder.
3. Install one of the Asphodel Games Runtimes.
4. Now you should have a Client folder and a Server folder.
5. Go to your Server folder and open up the Data folder.
6. Open each files and change them to your desire. *Tutorial for that will be coming soon*

Make An Admin Account
1. Open your server(Asphodel6 Server.exe)
2. Open your client(Asphodel6 client.exe)
3. Create a new account.
4. Log in with your new account and go to your server.
5. Click the Player tab on the server and right click your name.
6. Make Admin.

What to do from here:
  • Type "/admin" to see all admin commands.
  • Type "/acp" to start working on your game.
  • Mess around with the engine.

I have followed your instructions but still run into problems. Is another PC required for server purposes?

I have never attempted to use a 2D MORPG engine until now. Forgive my ignorance. Any help is appreciated.

Actually I got this error with several engines. It allways happened when I had run two servers of the same engine with the same IP. ^^

Most likely you are using the same port for something else.

Such as, as Konsty said, the same server already running :P

Say what?

How do I 'turn off' the other server?

*Update: Restarting my notebook solved the problem. Is there a tutorial or an informative report for an MORPG server somewhere? I'd like to prevent this from happening again.

Sometimes you turn on server and via vb you click "play" and there you are. Two servers running. :P

This is actually Networking stuff. I never code anything with networking but I have a good idea on how it work.

Anyway, to prevent the problem, just use a good port. set the port to something that is rarely or never used. Like 8000.

If you somehow have 2 servers running, just go to the process and end the "server.exe" or w.e the server is named. I'll look into that and make a tutorials.

Also, there is a Port Forward Tutorial that I need to make. I didn't have time. Maybe someone one else will do it.

Sincerely,
Rithy
